WHO ARE WE...
Mudjimba SLSC was founded in 1996 from humble beginnings in a shed on a vacant block of land some 150 metres from the beach.
Our club has a short but proud history thanks to a handful of dedicated members from a neighbouring club, with a passion to establish a much needed SLSC at Mudjimba. Many of these founding members are still active within our club today.
Today Mudjimba SLSC is a thriving family based life saving club which recognises and promotes the true ground roots values of the iconic Australian identity of Surf Life Saving.
Mudjimba SLSC has come a long way from its humble beginnings thanks to the hard work of its dedicated members. The club now boasts a beach side club house with great facilities for training emergency care and storage of rescue equipment.
We have a strong growing nipper population and in the last 5 years have fostered an ever increasing number of 14-17 year old junior active members. We are proud to say that this small but functional club is somewhat of a central point in our small beach side community.
Patrol Members
Whether you’re 14 or 94 you can swim and surf your way to becoming a bronzed hero with us! All you need is basic fitness, common sense, willingness to learn and work with a team of outstanding Australians.
Lifesaving at Mudjimba is a community and family, one in, all in. We do it because we love the life of the beach. Our members patrol once a fortnight officially but we have trouble getting them to go home!
See you between the red and yellow, just this side of the Island.
